I have been informed that Vince is not getting some emails from the forms that y'all are sending in. I will get this addressed, hopefully remedied, on Tuesday. If you do decide to use the form, please check with him in person or follow up by email, vallen@co.walker.tx.us to confirm he has it. Thanks and sorry about that.

Ok, I think I have fixed the website issue. Vince should get every email now. I have also included in his emails, where everytime you hit submit, a numerical number is generated so that way he can see if a number gets skipped, he likely missed an email. I can also now access the database live that everything is submitted to and can view all entries. If you receive an error message or dont think Vince got your email when you hit submit, please let me know on here and I will check the database and find the problem. I think it will work now.

What about the other forums, i.e. Vehicle Maintenance or Website Ideas? Are they managed in the same manner by sending an e-mail to the appropriate person? If so, are those being directed appropriately?

As far as any forums on here, no emails are sent. These forums are just a "community" for all EMS personnel to communicate with and share ideas, complaints, appreciation, job well done, etc... I know that I have talked to Kevin and Vince and they do watch these forums for updates, but no emails are generated by your entries unless someone subscribes to a thread, then you can receive an email anytime someone posts a new comment. Everything above pertains to everything in these forums. Now the forms, which are on the actual county website, those include vacation request, vehicle maintenance, shift request and swap request... Those do generate emails to the appropriate EMS supervisors and they also are entered into a database for record keeping. I monitor the database because prior to last Friday, some were apparently being lost. I rewrote all the code and rebuilt the database so now everything is saved and monitored. As of now (according to my database) noone has used the vacation or swap request. The vehicle maintenance request has had 7 entries and the shift request database has had I think up to 19 or 20 now. Thats as of midnight on Sunday night. As far as I know, those have all been forwarded to the appropriate emails.

you bunch of self-centered, ignorant people! You want to sit back and call yourselves heroes because you taxi people to and from the hospital? Just who the hell do you think you are? Superman is a hero, and he FLIES from place to place, while Walker County EMS hardly does more than drive their over-sized, over-priced trucks around town. So before you take your civil SERVANT status to a big-headed hero status, let me remind you just how puny you all really are. By the way, are y'all hiring? I wanna' be a hero too!
